Mike D. Robertson, CPCU
President
|
Risk Concepts was founded by Mike D. Robertson, CPCU. Mike began his insurance career immediately after graduating from Chico State in 1983. Mike's career includes every facet of insurance brokerage sales, technical client service and management - with more than half of his career spent as a brokerage partner.
Prior to founding Risk Concepts, Mike was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a local brokerage that was ranked in the top 1% of the United States.
Mike has completed the course study and testing criteria to obtain the "Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter" (CPCU) designation. The CPCU designation is considered the highest academic standard in the property/casualty insurance industry.
Mike prides himself on long-term client relationships and attributes this to managing his client's interest in the capacity of a "trusted advisor" and true advocate. Mike's interests include skiing, hiking, off-road vehicles and time spent with family.

Kelli Robertson, CISR
Executive Vice President

Kelli Robertson started her insurance career in 1984 while attending Solano Community College. After graduation, Kelli continued with insurance on a full-time then part-time basis until 2000, when she became an accomplished Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
In 2005, Kelli joined her husband, Mike Robertson in the formation of Risk Concepts, re-acquired her insurance license and has since been instrumental in the functional and strategic management of the firm.
In addition to managing Risk Concepts' day-to-day operations, Kelli oversees the servicing of accounts and all financial matters. Kelli's hobbies include reading, cooking and boating with her family.

Jonathan Supran, MBA, CRM
Broker

With over 18 years experience in the commercial insurance brokerage industry, Jonathan has considerable experience providing his customers with the guidance, services and solutions they need to control risk exposures.
After graduating from the University of California at Davis, Jonathan earned a Masters in Business Administration degree and Certified Risk Manager designation. He has successfully used his industry experience to advise his clients on the best overall design for their unique insurance programs. By advancing his clients' understanding of the financial, operational and legal risks associated with their businesses, Jonathan has helped educate his clients on how to best retain, transfer and reduce their insurance programs to obtain the best value.
Over his career, Jonathan has specialized in offering risk management solutions to companies involved in the construction, property management, food production, manufacturing and technology industries.
In Jon's free time he enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with his family and working on home renovation projects.

Serena Campbell, CISR, CLCS
Executive Account Manager

Serena Campbell started her insurance career with Risk Concepts in May of 2006 as a part-time Insurance Assistant. Serena obtained her insurance license in August of 2006 and became a full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager.
Since becoming an Account Manager, Serena has earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation and attended the Hartford School of Insurance in December of 2009 where she obtained the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation.
Serena's day-to-day client service activities and course work provide her with an excellent understanding of the technical and practical aspects of commercial insurance exposures/coverages.
Serena enjoys vacationing with friends, trying out new recipes, and her Boot Camp Workouts.

Carrie Lifson
Broker / Marketing

In December 2005, Carrie Lifson started her insurance career with Risk Concepts as an Insurance Assistant and obtained her insurance license in August 2006.
While working with Risk Concepts, Carrie attended Diablo Valley College as a full-time student, eventually earning her Associate of Arts degree in Transfer Studies in the spring of 2007. After earning her AA, Carrie transferred to Saint Mary's College of California, where she attended school from fall of 2007 to spring of 2008. Carrie then continued her educational pursuits by attending California State University, Hayward where in the fall of 2009, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
Upon her graduation, Carrie transitioned to a full-time role at Risk Concepts. Carrie is presently transitioning from an account management role to a marketing and sales role - with the ultimate goal of becoming a full-time broker by year-end.
During her free time, Carrie loves to travel, enjoys dining out and spending time with her family and close friends.

Martha Ramirez
Assistant Account Manager

Martha Ramirez started her insurance career as an insurance consultant in her native Mexico. Martha moved to the United States in 1996 and began taking business classes where she earned a Business Assistant Certificate and Medical Transcription certificate.
In August of 2007, Martha joined Risk Concepts as an Insurance Assistant. Martha passed the insurance licensing exam in May of 2008 and became a licensed agent. Martha continues to complete various insurance courses to update and enhance her insurance skills. Martha's fluency in Spanish brings additional benefit to Risk Concepts clients.
Currently, Martha is an Assistant Account Manager assisting Serena in day-to-day activities as well as handling certificates and IT support for Risk Concepts.
Martha's interests include Computer Technology, Cooking and spending time with her family.

Derek Robertson
Commercial Lines Assistant

Derek Robertson started his insurance career with Risk Concepts as a Commercial Lines Assistant in spring of 2010, and obtained his insurance license in July of 2010.
While working with Risk Concepts, Derek graduated from Acalanes High School, and is currently a full-time student Diablo Valley College.
Derek’s role includes the issuance of Certificates of Insurance and assisting with the account management tasks.
During his free time, Derek enjoys rebuilding classic cars and computer technology.

Christine Anderson
Broker

Christine Anderson was born in San Francisco, and therefore, is an original Bay Area native. She moved to Concord when she married Robert Y. Anderson, II. Rob is a CPA Partner with Burr Pilger Mayer. She is proud to have raised a wonderful son, Joe, who is “soon to be deployed” with his Army National Guard unit.
Christine has been in the insurance industry since 1988 where she started out as a receptionist for the Principal Life Insurance Company. She quickly needed more of a challenge and began working as an Executive Assistant for a successful agent. She decided to get licensed and make her career in the Employee Benefits field where she would be able to help her clients in a more effective way. She served on the Silicon Valley Association of Health Underwriters for over 5-years to help increase her knowledge of the industry. She works with individual clients as well as small groups (from 2-49), and large groups (50+). She is the newest member to join RCI, and is their Employee Benefit Consultant.
Christine took up golf in July of 2003, when she and her husband Rob joined the Contra Costa Country Club in Pleasant Hill, CA. In 2005, she was the Captain of the Divoteers, (the women’s 9-hole group), and is serving on the board for the Women’s Golf Association, (their 18-hole group). She and her husband attend Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek, where she is an active leader in the Women’s Ministry Core group. Christine also has a love for animals and volunteers every Monday morning at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in their Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital.
In her spare time, Christine loves to play golf, observe wildlife, read, and spend time with her family.
